TamCrete MFC I is a Microfine Portland cements for rock injection. Its superfine particle size, together with the addition of TamCem Superplasticisers, giving it superior penetration into tight joints, fissures and pore spaces, thus providing a water-tight grouted rock mass. TamCrete MFC I achieves initial and final sets faster thanOPC, and other microfine cements. This increases productivity in a tunnel grouting operation. The open time of 2½ hours allows for long distance pumping and a very short setting time of 3 hours reduces the waiting time to a minimum for the next activity to start (at about 20°C). TamCrete MFC I is quality assured by the Cement Industry Quality Assurance Scheme, independently monitored by the British Standards Institute (SBI QAS 2420/47)
